Lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor Raises Alarm, Accuses Anambra Lawmaker, Others Of Threat To Life, Family
December 25, 2025

While noting that he was “neither alarmed nor unsettled by their covert stratagems,” the lawyer said he considered it a “solemn duty” to place the matter on record “with clarity, firmness, and resolve.”

A civil rights lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has raised the alarm over what he described as an imminent and grave threat to his life and that of his family, allegedly involving an Anambra State lawmaker and other individuals.

In a statement dated December 25, 2025, Ejiofor, a native of Oraifite in Anambra State, said it had become “imperative” to formally draw public and international attention to what he termed a “calculated campaign of intimidation and hostile conduct.”

According to him, the alleged threats were “ostensibly orchestrated by Mr. Vincent Dike, Mr. Ugochukwu Nnajiofor, alias (Man Pass Man), and Mr. Ikenna Ofodeme,” whom he identified as the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly.

“It has become imperative that I, a bona fide citizen of Oraifite, formally draw public attention to a clear, imminent, and grave threat to my life and the safety of my family,” Ejiofor stated.

While noting that he was “neither alarmed nor unsettled by their covert stratagems,” the lawyer said he considered it a “solemn duty” to place the matter on record “with clarity, firmness, and resolve.”

Ejiofor further declared that he was fully aware of what he described as “the intentions, designs, and machinations presently in motion,” warning that all those involved, whether acting directly or through proxies, would be held accountable.

“Let it be known, without equivocation, that I am fully apprised of the intentions, designs, and machinations presently in motion,” he said, adding that “accountability shall neither be avoided nor deferred, whether by action or by calculated inaction.”

Condemning what he described as attempts to exploit the festive season for intimidation, Ejiofor said it was “utterly reprehensible for any individual, regardless of influence or perceived protection, to exploit this sacred period as a veil for intimidation, lawlessness, or malfeasance.”

He warned that any harm to him or members of his family would not be regarded as accidental, but as a “deliberate act with grave legal and moral consequences,” stressing that such actions would be “closely observed by law-enforcement agencies, civil society, and the wider international community.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, should any harm, threat, or untoward incident befall me or any member of my family, I hereby hold Mr. Ugochukwu Nnajiofor alias (Man Pass Man), Mr. Vincent Dike, and Ikenna Ofodeme, the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, jointly and severally responsible,” the statement read.

Ejiofor also disclosed that relevant security and statutory authorities had been informed of the alleged threats and that formal alerts had been lodged.

“Take further notice that the relevant security and statutory authorities have been duly informed, and all necessary alerts formally lodged.

“I now await their intervention, confident in the supremacy of due process, the sanctity of human life, and the enduring authority of the rule of law,” he added.

He reaffirmed his commitment to peace, lawful conduct, and the safety of his community, stating that he remained “steadfast, resolute, and unwavering” despite the alleged threats.
