Olle-Bunu community in the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State was thrown into fear on Sunday morning following a reported bandit attack that led to the abduction of two residents.

According to residents, the attack has heightened tension and anxiety within the community, which continues to face repeated security breaches despite calls for increased protection.
This latest incident adds to the growing security challenges in Kogi West, prompting renewed demands for decisive action from security agencies to safeguard lives and restore public confidence.
For instance, on Friday, tension was high in Ogbe and its surrounding communities following an attack by bandits along the Ogbe–Egbe axis in the state.
According to reports, the incident occurred as some residents were travelling from Ogbe to Egbe to attend a wedding ceremony of an Ogbe indigene based in Egbe, Kogi.
During the journey, the group was ambushed by armed assailants at the boundary area between Ogbe and Koro.
One person was reportedly shot during the attack and has been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment. Five others were abducted by the attackers and taken into the bush.
