"My Twin Babies Died After Taking Immunisation": Lagos Resident Accuses Govt Clinic Of Fake Drugs, Demands Justice
January 16, 2026

According to the grieving father, the incident occurred at Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, where he and his wife took their twin boys for routine immunisation on December 24, 2025.

A 30-year-old Lagos State resident has accused a state-owned primary healthcare centre of causing the deaths of his nine-month-old twin boys following an immunisation exercise, alleging that the children were administered fake, expired or inappropriate drugs.

The man, whose name was not immediately confirmed, made the allegations in an emotional video that has since gone viral on social media platform X, which was shared by user @ChuksEricE.

In the video, he appealed to Nigerians, particularly human rights lawyers, for help, saying he feared that justice might be denied him because the facility involved is a government institution.

According to the grieving father, the incident occurred at Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, where he and his wife took their twin boys for routine immunisation on December 24, 2025.

“My wife and I took our twin boys for immunisation at Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre on December 24,” he said. “After they were injected, they became extremely weak and developed very high temperatures.”

He said the nurse who attended to them advised the parents to administer paracetamol at home if the fever worsened.

“The nurse told us that if their temperature increased, we should give them paracetamol. We did exactly that after we got home,” he said.

However, he said the children’s condition deteriorated rapidly despite the medication and other efforts to reduce the fever.

“The paracetamol didn’t solve anything. We even bathed them with cold water, thinking it would bring down the temperature, but to no avail,” he said.

The man said that by the early hours of December 25, both children became extremely weak and later died.

“On the morning of the 25th of December, they died. The two of them died at the same time,” he said.

He described the sudden change in the twins’ condition as shocking, insisting they were healthy before the immunisation.

“Before that injection, my twins were not sick. They were strong and sound. Since they were born, the highest sickness they ever had was minor fever, and paracetamol would calm it down,” he said.

According to him, the drugs administered rendered the children unusually inactive.

“The drug weakened both of them to the extent that they couldn’t talk, they couldn’t play as usual. They were just weak, unlike how they used to be,” he said.

He alleged that in addition to the injections, the health worker also gave the children oral medication without his consent.

“You gave them worm medicine. You gave them two worm medicines and you didn’t ask me or tell me. I didn’t say my children had worms. They were just nine months old,” he said.

He further claimed that the nurse later told authorities she administered the drugs “to help” the children.

“You explained to government that you wanted to help me by giving my nine-month-old children worm medicine. Did I ask for it?” he asked.

The father questioned the explanation allegedly offered by the nurse that the twins may have died from food-related bacteria.

“She is saying it is food bacteria that killed my children. How can food bacteria kill them? The same food I have been giving them since they were one month old?” he said.

An autopsy has reportedly been conducted to determine the cause of death, but the man said he feared the outcome might be manipulated.

“The autopsy has been conducted already, but I am scared. This is government to government. The primary health centre is a government agency and the people handling the case are government people,” he said.

He said he lacked the financial means and legal support to pursue the case on his own.

“I don’t have any lawyer. I don’t have money. I am doing this alone,” he said, adding that he had also stopped working to focus on seeking justice.

“Please, if you are a human rights lawyer, help me. How can I lose two children—identical twins—that I suffered so much to raise?” he asked.

In a moment of anguish, he directly blamed the government for the deaths of his children.

“I will keep saying it. The Lagos State Government, the Lagos State Primary Health Centre, killed my two children with fake injections and fake vaccines,” he said.

He also issued a warning to other parents.

“I want mothers who are planning to take their children for immunisation to be careful. Try to know what they are giving to your child,” he said.

The man said he had already buried the twins but believed justice was still necessary.

“I have buried them, but I know their spirits are not at peace because they died untimely deaths,” he said.

As of the time of filing this report, Lagos State health authorities had not publicly responded to the allegations.
