Narrating the incident, the Command's spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Bola was arrested following his daughter's complaint against him for raping her and using her as a sex worker.

The Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command has arrested a 49-year-old man, Amoda Bola, for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and using her for prostitution.

Narrating the incident, the Command's spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Bola was arrested following his daughter's complaint against him for raping her and using her as a sex worker.

Oyeyemi, who stated this in a statement issued on Sunday, said the incident took place at Ode Remo, in the Remo North local government area of the state.

According to Oyeyemi, the victim said her father had also been inviting men to the house to have sex and collecting money from them.

He said the Divisional Police Officer, Ode Remo Division, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon, subsequently ordered the arrest of the suspect.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, the police spokesperson said.

Oyeyemi explained that the suspect's confessional statement led to the arrest of five others who have slept with the girl following invitations from the father.

The other suspects were identified as Ahmed Ogunkoya, 30; Muyiwa Adeoye, 48; David Sunday Solaja, 69; Emmanuel Olusanya, 50; and Joshua Olaniran, 50.

“All the suspects have confessed to having carnal knowledge of the underage girl and paid money to the father,” Oyeyemi said.

The police spokesman further explained that the victim, whose mother had separated from the father, was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.

He said the minor was taken to a state hospital, Isara Remo where it was confirmed that she was pregnant.

“The victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy and been the only person who slept with her within the period she got pregnant,” Oyeyemi said.

He said the state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspects should be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
