The NULGE National President, therefore, called on Nigerians to pray and rise to the occasion to elect credible leaders in the 2023 general elections.

The National President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ambali Akeem Olatunji, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, saying that the country is drifting towards a total collapse with nobody in control.

Olatunji, who made this statement on Tuesday during his remarks at the 7th State Quadrennial Inauguration of the newly elected executives to run the affairs of NULGE in Kogi State said the current state of Nigeria is not what the people wanted when they voted for Buhari in 2015.

The NULGE boss lamented that due to bad leadership, the Buhari-led government has allowed the country to become a place where no one is in charge.

“The last four years under the present administration showed that the country has no one in charge, drifting with nobody in control. This is not the Buhari Nigerians voted for,” Daily Post quoted Olatunji as saying.

The NULGE National President, therefore, called on Nigerians to pray and rise to the occasion to elect credible leaders in the 2023 general elections.

While also lamenting that President Buhari has failed to provide solutions to the nation’s insecurity, he further described the current insecurity challenges ravaging the country as a shame and a national embarrassment.

He said that under the Buhari government, Nigeria has become the headquarters of poverty, insurgency, joblessness and all sorts of evil in Africa.

Olatunji also demanded that the Minister of Finance and the Central Bank Governor should tender their resignation letters with immediate effect.

“The exchange rate, which is on the high, is a shame due to the policy of the financial managers. They have lost ideas. Nigeria is now a country that has no one leading. 2023 is the time to vote out poor leadership, vote for visionary leaders and not on sentiments,” he said.
