It was speculated that Osuofia was initially offered the “usual N5 million” to endorse Tinubu, but he refused.

Popular Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, aka Osuọfia has refused to deny or confirm a viral claim that he rejected N10 million to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general elections.

According to tweets on the micro-blogging application, Twitter, Monday, the veteran Nollywood actor reportedly said N10 million cannot buy his endorsement for Tinubu as 2023 is critical for the collective good of all citizens and would never be sold.

It was speculated that Osuofia was initially offered the “usual N5 million” to endorse Tinubu, but he refused. And when the offer was allegedly doubled on account of his worth, he still refused.

Reacting to the tweets, the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, tweeted saying, “I have always known Nkem Owoh as a good actor, but didn’t even know he also has standard and integrity.”

But when SaharaReporters called him to verify the claim, the veteran actor said he has no interest in politics.

"I don't want to confirm it, I am not interested in politics," he told SaharaReporters on Tuesday afternoon.
