National Assembly rejects State of Emergency in Ekiti State

The House of Representatives and the Nigerian Senate at a sitting in Abuja rejects President Obasanjo's extension of the state of emergency in Ekiti State. The President was mandated to replace his appointee, retired General Tunji Olurin with the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Friday Aderemi.
