RE: ACCUSING COURT OF APPEAL JUDGE OF CORRUPTION

February 14, 2009

Image removed.Dear Saharareporters,

This utter gibberish by a clearly uneducated sycophantic gibbon does not command any response. But considering the obvious intentions that belie his/her pathetic rants, we are compelled to put the Nwosus on notice that they “aint seen nothing, yet!” The full stroy is yet to be told.

What do these people understand civilization to mean ? Nwosu herself has been to some civilized places a few times in her life and ought to have imbibed some of the rudimentary elements of civilisation. After all, she returned directly from the United States to deliver, in longhand, one of the most atrocious judgments of her unfortunate career.

The mention of the State Assembly petitions that Nwosu upheld is quite risible. The motivations that led to those outcomes were bitterly obvious to all citizens who followed the charade that went on in Ebonyi: the wretched souls on either side of those rather minor sideshows had nothing with which to bribe the “Honourable” Justice and she knew this. What they fail to mention are, in fact, the most celebrated case in Ebonyi involving perhaps the most qualified candidate for any position in Ebonyi State, Dr Emmanuel Onwe, who contested the Ebonyi Central Senatorial seat. Alongside Onwe’s petition was that of Onwukaike Nwambam of Ikwo Federal Constituency. In these two cases the “Honourable” Justice destroyed her reputation permanently. Copies of the judgements will be sent to Saharareporters in due course.

The judgements in these two cases expose the deep corruption and perfidy that engulfed the Ebonyi State Election Petitions Tribunal. Those of us from Ebonyi who would have raised our voices against this blatant crime against every tenet of justice known to man are encouraged to hold our fire because the matter is being handled in a more sophisticated manner. And it is those who do not know the candidates involved, particularly Onwe, a man of considerable learning and sophistication, that will go away deluding themselves that the matter is dead and buried. I understand that a book that details the chain of events, including the massive rupture within the panel that gave the split judgment will be out soon in both the US and Nigeria. We are assured that a forensic examination of the monumental corruption that marred the pretence of due process in Ebonyi will be out later this year. Locations, principal and minor characters, witnesses, evidence of cash movements – withdrawals and lodgements, the women and men involved, hotel room numbers, the whole nine-yards, we gather, are going to be laid bare.

If that be true, then we can only say congratulations to SR for getting it right, yet again. Carving  these thefts in history that will endure forever is the best way to fight them. Their reputation will lie in tatters in a hundred years to come – a long time, perhaps, but that is the sweetest justice of all.

Besides, the case of Onwe and Nwambam are currently at the Court of Appeal Enugu and being handled by a legal team led by Lateef Fagbemi, SAN and Olisa  Agbakoba, SAN. Let’s watch and see what happens. The principal actor here has not stirred the hornets’ nest, running from media house to media house proclaiming the injustice done to him. And that goes to show that all politicians cannot be tarred with the same black brush. But it also goes to show that the civilised and sophisticated ones are brutally shut out.
