Gani's Last Moments —Wife

Image removed.Before he succumbed to the cold hands of death this morning, Chief Gani Fawehinmi had a few words for his family, colleagues and Nigerians.


According to his wife, Ganiat who was by his bedside, Chief Fawehinmi vowed to continue the struggle for the enmacipation of the masses in his grave.
She said Chief Fawehinmi told her to tell Nigerians not to give up the struggle for a better Nigeria, adding that they should continue where he stopped.

“He lamented that he was not given the opportunity to be president to change things. He said if he had been president, he would have done a lot for the masses,” Ganiat stated.

The Senior Advocate of the masses was also said to have urged the staff of his chambers to continue the dogged fight against injustice and assist the needy to obtain justice.

According to his wife, “he commended me for standing resolutely behind him.
“He said the nation must try and improve the lives of the less privileged in the society.”
