Eyewitness told SaharaReporters that arriving flights were delayed up to 45 minutes as the fire raged on, apparently involving a car and a fire truck.
Several sources said that a fire service truck exploded, burning uncontrollably at the airport until 3: 00 PM local time .
An Arik airplane , flight 401 from Lagos, landed safely at the airport at 2:15 PM after hovering the sky for close to one hour.
