Mrs. Kasali has recently faced an uprising by workers in the agency who wrote several petitions to the EFCC alleging a pattern of corruption in which the Executive Secretary used proxies to set up shell companies to which she doled out contracts from the PEF.

An EFCC team member investigating Mrs. Kasali told SaharaReporters that they found an account linked to her in which the sum of N400 million was deposited.  Two other accounts containing N50 million and N30 million respectively were also found.

One of the petitions accused Mrs. Kasali of forcing oil marketers into making donations to Diamond Lights Women Empowerment Association, a faith-based NGO she founded in 2005.

Mr. Femi Babafemi of the EFCC confirmed that Mrs. Kasali is still being interrogated by the EFCC over various several petitions filed against her.
