A press release issued by the National Working Committee of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) listed five new names of candidates for the Bayelsa state party election primaries, curiously the name of the current governor of the state, Timipre Sylva, was not included in today's list.

Although the press release stated that more names would be included in an upcoming batch, Saharareporters learns that Mr. Sylva's name would not not be included as the NWC and president Jonathan had already met last night and sealed Mr. Sylva's fate.

However, PDP will likely reinstate Ben Bruce, a television executive who was earlier excluded for having dual citizenship.

Governor Sylva is reportedly weighing his options, several sources told SaharaReporters he will likely move over to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a party he had helped equipped in Bayelsa when President Goodluck Jonathan began scheming to remove him as a candidate in the last election.
