Islamists Strike At Kafin Madaki Township In Bauchi State

Local residents in the township of Kafin Madaki, the headquarters of Ganjuwa local government area in Bauchi state reported that suspected islamist militants struck  the township around1: 00 AM today. Residents said the attackers came in a convoy and began  shooting randomly.

The scope of the attack could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report as residents are locked up scared to death in their homes.

Boko Haram militants had recently escalated attacks against police formations and banks in Yobe, Borno and Bauchi states as the power of the militants grow in the north eastern parts of Nigeria.
