Occupy Nigeria Protests Hit Birnin Kebbi

Hundreds of people took to the streets of Birnin Kebbi the capital of Kebbi State on 4th January, 2012 to protest the removal of oil subsidy by President Goodluck Jonathan, the protest started from Haliru Abdu Stadium to the Emirs palace through Ahmadu Bello Way and Sultan Abubakar Road.

Hundreds of people took to the streets of Birnin Kebbi the capital of Kebbi State on 4th January, 2012 to protest the removal of oil subsidy by President Goodluck Jonathan, the protest started from Haliru Abdu Stadium to the Emirs palace through Ahmadu Bello Way and Sultan Abubakar Road.

Among the protesters where the 2 Members of the Kebbi State Assembly, Hon Kabiru A. Besse and Hon. Buhari Aliero all of Congress for Progressive Change, also the Director Youth in the Ministry for Youth, Alhaji. Bawa Bunza was there.

Protest was organized by   Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed (Alhaji Boy) a writer and activist who told protesters that this is just the beginning, he vowed that a larger protest would erupt  whenNigerian workers call a National Rally.
