Gov. Oshiomhole Taps Popular Lexicologist, Patrick Obahiagbon, For Chief Of Staff Position

Former House of Representatives member Patrick Obahiagbon, distinguished for his bombastry, braggadocio, and grandiloquence when discussing political matters, has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

Obahiagbon confirmed his appointment to SaharaReporters over the telephone.
 
Obahiagon’s lexicon has produced such florid descriptives as when he was asked for his views on the tenure elongation debate: "Let me posit prestissimo that the single tenure proposal for executive suzerains and majordomo as an Aladdin lamp out of our vaudeville of political phantasmagoria, economic quagmire and social miasma among our electoral ceramics in such a democratic modus that in Platos's Peoples' Republic should truly be a place for the people...
 
He concluded: “Having spent 12 years of my political pregranation in Parliament, I am in cahoots with the robust and salubrious democratic dialectics that threw up Tanbuwai as Speaker of the Nigerian Parliament"  !
 
Also appointed was Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, former Africa program officer at the Ford Foundation, to be Secretary to the State Government. A professor of Political Science, the SSG-designate was former Special Adviser on Policy Monitoring as well as Speech Writer to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Mr Stephen Idehenre is the Deputy Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office.
 
Mr. Peter Okhiria retains his position as Chief Press Secretary same as Princess Theresa Erediauwa who retains her position as the focal person and Executive Director, Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
 
Comrade Yakubu Aliyu is the Governor’s new Principal Private Secretary.
 
Mr. Godwin Obaseki remains the Chairman of the Economic Team, while Mr. Osarodion Ogie, is Vice Chairman of the Economic Team.
 
Swearing-in of the SSG and others will hold on Thursday, November 15 at the Festival Hall, Government House
