Chairman of the committee, Barrister Chris Green said on Wednesday that Super Eagles coach Keshi has been summoned to appear before the committee same day to provide details of his plan to ensure a spectacular performance for Nigeria at the continental soccer tournament starting in South Africa in four-and-half weeks.

Nigeria will play against Burkina Faso, African cup holders, Zambia and Ethiopia in  group C of the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, with matches in Nelspruit and Rustenburg.

“There are a lot of issues on the table, and we have to treat them in order that our teams can start integrated preparations for these major competitions."

“It is not enough for our teams to qualify for competitions; we are determined that Nigeria’s flag must be flown brightly and with dignity at every international championship,” said Barrister Green.

Also on Wednesday, NFF’s Assistant Director (Media), Ademola Olajire decried an article in a national newspaper that the duties of the technical committee had been handed over to the technical department.
