Kidnapped Gombe House of Assembly Member Freed

Jalo Ganga, a member of the Gombe State House of Assembly who was abducted by unknown men who trailed him on a motorcycle and then took him away in a waiting vehicle, has been freed.

A credible source in Gombe confirmed to SaharaReporters that Ganga, who represents Gombe North Constituency, regained his freedom last night.  He was seized at about 5:30 am after prayers in a mosque.

Information is still unavailable as to whether a ransom was paid for his release, and the reasons behind his abduction.
