They also confirmed injuries to two other Chinese expatriates in the attack by unknown gunmen while they worked on a rail project.

The authorities said the attackers struck around Riyom Local Government area of Plateau State, which borders Kaura Local Government area of Kaduna State.

The Commissioner of Police, Chris Olakpe, disclosed that a police guard attached to the foreigners was also injured and his gun snatched by the gunmen.

Captain Salisu Mustapha, the Public Relations Officer of the STF further confirmed the incident, stating that the injured were taken to an undisclosed hospital.

“They were attacked at the weekend in an area bordering Plateau and Kaduna states,” he said.
