According to an eyewitness, problem started late on Tuesday night when the two supporters clashed following the arrival of Sidi Bako a member of the state assembly under the umbrella of the PDP to the area.

Bako, who had participated actively in the impeachment saga of the Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al-Makura, was visiting his constituency for the first time in several months but his presence however created tension which led to the clash, as both sets of supporters had been on edge.
