Outgoing Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, Warmly Received On Return To His Isan-Ekiti Hometown

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, outgoing Governor of Ekiti State was on Wednesday received in his hometown in Isan-Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area of the State, with great rejoicing and blessing.

Fayemi, who was accompanied by some members of the State Executive Council as well as the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. (Hon) Adewale Omirin, was welcomed into the palace of the Onisan of Isan, Oba Sunday Ajiboye, in pageantry and praise.

Sons and daughters of the town said they were happy that Fayemi, one of their own, did them proud as governor, and had returned home hale and hearty.

According to them, all communities in the state had benefitted from the Fayemi-led government, through his numerous projects, during his four year term.

Speaking at the palace, Governor Fayemi expressed appreciation to the people for their love and support throughout his tenure, stressing that the efforts made by his administration to transform the state would not have been successful if not for the prayers and support he enjoyed from the people.

Oba Ajiboye warmly praised the outgoing governor, saying he had served well and played a major role in the lives of many people not only in the community but the state at large.
