The protesters carried placards with graphic photographs of the scene of the bomb blast with the following inscriptions "Where is your soul Nigeria ?", "Stop the massacre, Nigeria protect your children", and "Nigeria mourns Potiskum Boys".

The protesters were locked out of the premises as no government officials came out to attend to the  protesters. Many officials were not allowed to drive out of the premises of the Ministry.
