Ghana To Tackle South Africa And Senegal In AFCON Group Of Death

The tournament kicks off on the 17th of January with the final to be played on February 18th.

Ghana's new Black Stars boss, Avram Grant, who officially took over today is going to face a difficult start on the job as Ghana has been drawn alongside Africa’s highest ranked team Algeria, high-flying South Africa and Senegal in Group C of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The draws held in Malabo also saw hosts Equatorial Guinea paired with neighbors Gabon (they co-hosted the tournament together in 2012). Star studded Ivory Coast and Cameroon meet in Group D, which will also be a reunion considering the two met in the qualifiers with Cameroon winning at home 4-1 and then it was a 0-0 draw in Abidjan in the return fixture.
