In November, Jolly Tumuhiirwe was caught in a hidden camera at baby Arnella’s parent’s home being force-fed, thrown to the floor and stepped on and dragged across the floor. The video which was installed by baby Arnella’s father was then shared across social media receiving over hundreds of thousands of views.[story_link header="Uganda: Toddler Savagely Beaten By Nanny Survives Ordeal" align="left"]Uganda: Toddler Savagely Beaten By Nanny Survives Ordeal[/story_link]

Baby Arnella’s case has been keenly followed by media in many countries and has brought attention to the issue of a largely unsupervised and growing domestic labor force in urban cities.

Jolly Tumuhiirwe is awaiting her fate and will be sentenced in court on Wednesday.
