Jonathan Failed And Does Not Deserve Another Chance, Says South East APC

January 28, 2015

“My Dear Compatriots, the core ingredient of election in liberal democracy is referendum on the performance of the incumbent and our illustrious son and eminent Professor Charles Soludo has after careful examination awarded F9 to President Jonathan on the management of the economy, for failing to provide millions of Nigerians with jobs, for creating poverty in the midst of plenty and crashing the Naira. Don't forget that before then, revered Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka also awarded President Jonathan same F9; the former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme awarded him same F9; and even Senator Ken Nnamani also awarded him same F9. It is only ‘food is ready’ politicians like Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu who abandon projects that want a failed president to repeat,” a spokesman said.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) South-East on Wednesday declared that President Goodluck Jonathan has failed the nation and does not deserve another chance.

The spokesman of the APC in the zone, Osita Okechukwu, made the remark as the APC campaign train in Enugu State stopped over at 9th Mile Corner Ngwo, a suburb of Enugu.

Okechukwu, who is also a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, reminded thousands of party supporters and members of the community that in the school system if you fail, “you fail out and there is no room to repeat’.

That principle, he maintained, is what applies to President Jonathan, who has failed and has no room to repeat.

“He came to Enugu shortly before the 2011 presidential elections and promised to revamp Enugu Coal and four years down the line he failed to even commence,” the spokesman said.  “Can we truly answer ‘Coal City’ without coal?  We are sitting on golden treasure, which the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deliberately abandoned for 16 years.”

He assured that as president, General Muhammadu Buhari will revamp the huge Enugu coal deposits, generate electricity via coal, export coal and build other ancillary factories, which in all will generate one million jobs in the South East in four years, adding that this was Buhari’s message for his people and that his word is his bond.

He recalled that the people of the South East have over the years voted for the PDP without commensurate result.

Okechukwu regretted that all the federal roads in the South East - Onitsha-Enugu, Enugu-Port Harcourt, Aba-Calabar, Umuahia- Uyo, Makurdi-Enugu, Otuocha–Lokoja and others, are all dilapidated, and that even the construction of 2nd Niger Bridge is at the mercy of foreign creditors.

“To cap it up Governor Willie Obiano is keying into the regime change song, as evidenced by the sack of his campaign Director General, Joe Martins Uzodike, who wants to manipulate the regime change narrative.”

Okechukwu warned that the people of the South-East cannot sink with a sinking ship, adding that they should let President Jonathan who has failed, to fail out in accordance with the principles of democracy.
