Two separate bomb blasts ripped through two crowded markets in Maiduguri metropolis today. The first blast occurred at Baga fish market while a second attack took place at Monday market some 45 minutes apart. Monday market had been bombed twice in the past three months according to security sources.

Our reporter in the city said at least ten people died in the first blast carried out by a suicide bomber riding a tricycle. Security forces are yet to disclose the full casualty figures from the second blast.
