Results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Enugu shows that President Goodluck Jonathan has emerged victorious over his close rival, General Muhammad Buhari in Saturday’s Presidential election in the state.

Jonathan scored 553,037 against Buhari’s 14,157 votes.
Enugu has approximately 1.3 million of which 45% came out to vote on Saturday. Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu took charge of Enugu on behalf of President Jonathan. The Deputy Senate president also won back his seat as a senatorial candidate in the state.
