About 40 soldiers from the 35th Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Ogun State have been sent to their respective villages unceremoniously on the basis of desertification. The soldiers plaid that the claim is untrue.

The soldiers were said to have been removed from their base camp in Mubi, Adamawa State since October 28, 2014. They said they fought gallantly, with all their efforts, but due to the high firepower of insurgents they were overpowered and recorded many casualties eventually leading to the depletion of their own ammunition.

After the loss of the 35th Artillery Brigade, the military authorities disarmed and moved them to Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, 3 DIV of the Nigerian Army in Jos for further investigation.
