Adesanya also noted that the Governor was already afraid that the lawmakers might be used against him; hence his order that the new lawmakers should be inaugurated quickly while the old members should be dissolved inappropriately.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has said the inauguration of new lawmakers into the 8th State House of Assembly is illegal and was against the constitution.
The Party was reacting to the action of the Assembly through its Speaker, Hon. Jumoke Akindele of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Okitipupa II constituency, who dissolved the 2011-2015 lawmakers that made up the 7th Assembly, shortly after a valedictory ceremony at the Parliament.
Akindele had immediately inaugurated the 8th Assembly, which make up the new lawmakers that were voted into the Assembly. In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, issued to journalists, and obtained by SaharaReporters in Akure, said the hurried inauguration of the 8th State Assembly was a resultant effect of the fear of unknown that has beclouded the Assembly.
He said the House of Assembly members were supposed to be constitutionally inaugurated on June 6th. Adesanya said the inauguration was orchestrated on the orders of the embattled Governor of the State, Olusegun Mimiko.
He accuses Mimiko of betraying his political associates mostly those who helped him into the political limelight and now living with the fear of unknown.

He queried, “How else can we describe the impatience attitude of the Mr. Olusegun Mimiko who could not wait till the appropriate time to inaugurate the 8th Assembly”.
According to Adesanya, the embattled governor has all his Party members at the floor of the House Assembly and yet he is jittery of fear of unknown.
He added that the Mimiko and his Party, the PDP had run foul of proper arrangement by hurriedly inaugurating the 8th Assembly.
