Curfew Review In Maiduguri: Governor Shettima Explains

Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima on Wednesday explained that the review of the curfew imposed on Maiduguri metropolis during the month of Ramadan will enable the Moslem faithful to perform their religious obligations.

The curfew review will run from 7-9:30pm within the city of Maiduguri. 

A press statement by the state government stressed that the review is only for the Month of Ramadan and affects movement only within the Maiduguri metropolis.

Gov. Shettima appealed to all the members of the “civilians JTF” and other well-meaning people ‎to support the security agencies and report any suspicious persons in order to win war against Boko Haram insurgents. 

He said his government is doing everything to ensure a robust return of peace and harmony in the state, and urged all Muslims to pray hard for peace in Borno and Nigeria at large.
