Inspector General of the Police, Solomon Arase, has approved the appointment of about 58 senior police officers, according to a press statement released from the Nigerian Police Force today.

This news comes at the same time Nigeria has a woman as the Force Public Relations Officer, the top most spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force. Mrs. Olabisi Kolawole is the first woman to hold this position.
