The Nigerian Police is investigating a certificate forgery allegation against Adeleye Adewale Adebiyi, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.
On Tuesday, Mr. Adebiyi was interrogated by the police, who also made him to submit a written statement explaining his side of the story.
SaharaReporters understands that the police have also invited the principal of Ode remo Secondary school the Assemblyman claimed to have attended. They have also written to the West African Examination Council in an effort to obtain verification of Mr. Adebiyi credentials.
Recently, Mr. Adebiyi appeared to have taken the law into his own hands by arranging the kidnap in Abeokuta of the petitioners who sent the petition against him to the police.
He also bragged about the abduction of his adversaries on Facebook.
