The death of Mr. Boakye Danquah has been confirmed by the police who say he suffered multiple stab wounds. The Greater Accra Region Police Commander, (COP), George Dampare, confirmed the murder Tuesday morning in an interview with local media.

Initial, but unconfirmed reports indicate, that the killer(s) went up to his bedroom on the upper floor of his two-storey residence with the aid of a ladder.

The police say they have begun an investigation.

Meanwhile, parliament has suspended sitting in respect of the unfortunate incident. Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu moved a motion for the House to suspend sitting.

"I believe the entire House is not in a good mood to do business today," he said.
