SaharaReporters reliably learned that the thugs and unidentified persons wearing police uniforms, led by Mr. Victor Egbo, Special Assistant on Youth Affairs to Governor Okowa, stormed the home of Mr. Omokero during the early hours of Monday and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

The INYA has been enmeshed in a series of battles following the misappropriation of funds and alleged embezzlement of over N4m, which led to the resignation of Mr. Egbo, who served as its president before being replaced by Mr. Omokero.

Speaking about the abduction of the INYA president, one of the leaders of the INYA, Mr. Dickson Opuana, disclosed that Mr. Egbo had been using his office as Special Assistant to the governor to terrorize members and leaders of the youth body, confirming that today's abduction of Mr. Omokero was led and spearheaded by the governor's aide in the company of yet to be identified persons.

The INYA president's abduction is coming barely three days after he enjoined youths in Isokoland against any act that is inimical to the growth and peaceful co-existence of the Isoko nation. Addressing over 5000 youths at a meeting in Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Omokero appealed to the youths to close ranks and work for the unity, growth, progress and development of the land.

It will be recalled that just last month, Governor Okowa used armed thugs to attack and intimidate his opponents in Ekpan Community.
