Bodies Of Agip Staff Killed In Bayelsa Creeks Found

A combined team of Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, Navy, and Army have found bodies of three Agip staff members killed during an ambush by militants in the Nembe creeks of Bayelsa State.

The ambush took place on Wednesday at an Agip work station in the creeks around Nembe near the Obama flow station. This flow station is operated by Eni Oil, the parent company of Agip.

The Commandant of the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, Desmond Agu, confirmed details of the attack saying that it took place on June 29th.

Mr. Agu also said that "the search team, made up of Civil Defense, Navy, Army, and gunboat crews left Obama station at 0915 hours on Thursday in search of the bodies of killed Agip personnel.”

"At about 1100 hours, the dead bodies of two killed personnel were discovered in Oguama River close to Oguama community in Bayelsa. They were taken to Ogbia jetty for onward move".
