Charles Okah Handcuffed, Put In Solitary Confinement At Kuje Prisons

January 24, 2017

Mr. Charles Okah, who is in custody for alleged terror-related offenses at the Kuje Prisons in the Federal Capital Territory, SaharaReporters can disclose, has been stripped, handcuffed, leg-chained and put in solitary confinement by prison authorities since Monday.

The prison authorities have also threatened to stop him from receiving visitors.

Prison sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Okah, an alleged mastermind of  October 1, 2011, bombing in Abuja, is being punished on the suspicion that he was the brain behind the radio expose of the deaths and suffering of inmates, who do not have money to pay for their treatment.

Mr. Okah, added sources, was accused of having coached one of the guests on the WE FM radio show to pretend to be a former inmate and narrate his experience in prison.
