Troops Ambush Escaping Boko Haram Terrorists

The team gunned down four Boko Haram terrorists and recovered weapons, ammunitions, and other items.

Nigerian troops ambushed fleeing Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday, Nigerian Army authorities have announced.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, troops of 151 Task Force Battalion, 21 Brigade, Nigerian Army on Operation Lafiya Dole, while on fighting patrol, ambushed the terrorists at Borno State College of Business Studies (BOCCOS) along Bama-Ngurosoye road, Borno State.

The team gunned down four Boko Haram terrorists and recovered weapons, ammunitions, and other items, including one AK-56 Rifle, 60 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 3 AK-56 Rifle Magazines, 1 Boko Haram terrorists flag, 5 SIM Cards and 5 bicycles, according to the military’s press release.

Recently, the terrorist group released a new propaganda video displaying high-grade military weapons, bragging that it remains firmly in Nigeria.

On Wednesday morning, four suspected Boko Haram terrorists carried out a suicide bombing in Maiduguri, killing themselves and two bystanders.
