Fire Kills Three Persons In Konduga IDP Camp

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident, saying that the fire started in the kitchen area of the camp at around 10:40 a.m.

Three people were killed in a fire at an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in Konduga, Borno State on Thursday.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident, saying that the fire started in the kitchen area of the camp at around 10:40 a.m.

“The fire started at about 10:40 a.m. from the cooking area, leading to the death of three people and injury to six persons,” Abdulkadir Ibrahim, NEMA spokesperson for the North-East, said in a press release.

The camp, located at the College of Business Administration, accommodates 6,213 persons.
