Nigerian Army Denies Boko Haram Attack in Pulka

The Nigerian Army has discredited reports of an attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Pulka, a village in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.

The media, not SaharaReporters reported that Boko Haram terrorists have attacked Pulka and abducted 22 women, attributing it to an unidentified Bulama as source.

According to a release signed by Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman, the report is false

“For the avoidance of doubt, Pulka and its environs is heavily fortified and there has not been any security breach in the area,” Usman wrote.

Pulka was one of the towns in  Gwoza local government, Borno State, recaptured in 2015.
