President Buhari Cancels Federal Executive Council Meeting, To Receive Report On Sacked SGF And DG, NIA At Home

President Muhammad Buhari abruptly canceled a planned appearance at the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting earlier scheduled for Wednesday morning. No reason was offered by his media managers over this decision but a terse statement by his spokesperson, Femi Adesina stated the president will receive a report of an investigation committee set up to look into corruption allegations against a former Secretary to the federal government, Babachir Lawal and suspended director of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke at him home office.

SaharaRepolearnedlearnt that all ministers and cabinet level officials of the government had gathered in Abuja for the meeting when they were told the meeting had been canceled. Since returning from a prolonged medical vacation in the  UK, the president has been working from home. His aides have claimed that his decision to work from home was due to rodent infestation of his main office within the Presidential Villa a claim SaharaReporters found to be false.
