The Government of Lagos state is set to commission a world-class bus terminal at Ikeja on Thursday, 29th of March 2018

The Government of Lagos state is set to commission a world-class bus terminal at Ikeja on Thursday, 29th of March 2018.

The bus terminal, which will be commissioned by the President Muhammadu Buhari, will grant Lagosians easy access to cheap and convenient means of transportation, according to the state government.

The bus terminal which is located behind the premises of the railway corporation opposite the Murtala Muhammed International Airport will connect 22 routes and over 60, 000 people are expected to transit through the facility daily.

According to reports, there are 13 similar bus terminals being constructed across the state.

According to reports, the terminal at Alapere, Ketu, and part of the state is scheduled for commissioning today, while the terminal at Tafa Balewa Square has also been completed and ready for commissioning.  

The newly acquired buses by the Lagos state government will service the terminals. It was gathered that the state has taken possession of over 5,000 of the new buses.
