The two high profile Boko Haram Commanders, according to the Army, are Kyari Goni, a commander in the Abubakar Shekau camp who led 16 others to surrender and Ibrahim Dale from the Nur-led faction who also surrendered to the troops alongside other members of the insurgent group.

Major General Rogers Nicholas, the Commander of the war against Boko Haram received the ex-terrorists on behalf of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri.

He expressed his admiration for the boldness the former members of Boko Haram show by surrendering to the troops, while he promised that they will be catered for adequately.
