There was a mini drama during the meeting between 45 political parties and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Thursday.
The meeting, which was held at the office of the Senate President, according to the National Chairman of United Democratic Party, Godson Okoye, was a solidarity visit.
While the national chairmen of various political parties were introducing themselves, it got to the turn of the National Chairman of Better Nigeria Progressive Party (BNPP), Professor Godswill Nnaji.
He said his name and as he proceeded to add his designation, there was some mumbling, to which he promptly responded: "Don't shake; it's not that Godswill."
The audience erupted in laughter, which lasted a few seconds, after which he went on to say: "Okay. Okay. I give you the better side. I am the National Chairman of Better Nigeria Progressive Party (BNPP).
Godswill Akpabio would have been on the side of Saraki, the man whom the parties were meeting with, but he defected from the Peoples Democratic party to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.
