Osinbajo Sympathises With Victims Of Abuja Building Collapse

"My heart goes out to the family that lost someone today. There are no words to describe how you must be feeling. On behalf of this nation, please accept our sincere condolences. To all of the people who were injured, we wish you speedy recovery," Osinbajo tweeted.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has sympathised with the victims of the collapsed building in Abuja.

After visiting the site of the incident, he wished the injured victims a speedy recovery and expressed his condolences to the family of the person, who died during the incident.

He also commended the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, as well as the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for their efforts at rescuing victims and bringing the situation under control.

After his visit to the scene of the collapse, a tweet via his handle, @ProfOsibajo read: “This evening, I visited the site of the building that collapsed in Abuja. My heart goes out to the family that lost someone today. There are no words to describe how you must be feeling. On behalf of this nation, please accept our sincere condolences. To all of the people who were injured, we wish you speedy recovery.

"Thank you to officials of the FCT Fire Service and NEMA for conducting rescue operations quickly. Your actions saved lives today. Thank you so very much.”
