The event is taking place at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Abayomi Shogunle, Head of Police Complaint Rapid Response Unit, who disclosed this via his Twitter handle, noted that the hearing is to receive and file complaints from residents of South-South states.

He tweeted: “LIVE EVENT: The National #HumanRights Commission #SARSPublicHearing at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to receive #EndSARS complaints from South-South States.”

The commission had conducted a public hearing for residents of the South East zone between July 31 and August 2, 2018.

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, last week, ordered an immediate overhaul of SARS.

In accordance, the Police announced a physical and psychiatric test on all of its personnel, and also formed a committee to ensure the overhauling process.
