The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it will no longer sell or collect nomination forms for various elective positions in Osun State, until two days after the governorship election in the state.

The sale and submission of forms for political official aspirants has been on all over the country, however, what is most important to the party now is the Osun governorship seat, which its candidate, Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, seek to retain when he faces off with Ademola Adeleke, Osun West senator and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on September 22.

Confirming the temporary halt in sale and submission of forms, Yekini Nabena, Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, said in a statement: “In order to avoid distractions and ensure full participation of Party supporters and members in the forthcoming Osun State Governorship elections scheduled for Saturday, September 22, 2018, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reopen the sale and submission of nomination forms for various elective positions in the State from Monday, September 24th to Wednesday, September 26th, 2018.

“Screening of aspirants from the State will commence from Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 to Saturday, October 6th, 2018.”
