NULGE Begins Indefinite Strike Action Against Fayose Over Unpaid Salaries

The body also warned the state government against fresh recruitment when it had yet to clear salary arrears to workers.

From Friday, the Ekiti State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) will begin an indefinite industrial action against Ayodele Fayose, Governor of the state, for “neglecting” the welfare of the workers and failing to pay their salary arrears.

NULGE is accusing the Fayose administration of dishonouring an agreement signed by the two parties on September 4.

The body also warned the state government against fresh recruitment when it had yet to clear salary arrears to workers.
