Policemen have blocked the entrance of the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State.
Aside preventing entry into the commission’s state headquarters, a road block has also been mounted near the office.
It is not yet clear why security operatives are present at the Rivers headquarters.
However, there are reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) plans to protest the Supreme Court judgment barring INEC from fielding candidates for elective positions in the state.
