Mrs. Elizabeth Ogege, mother of slain Miss Elozino Ogege, a first class 300 level student of Mass Communication, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, who was gruesomely murdered sometime in November, 2018, by suspected ritualists operating as internet fraudsters otherwise known as 'Yahoo Yahoo plus boys', has cried out to governor Ifeanyi Okowa to keep to his earlier promises of speedy justice for her daughter.

It would be recalled that Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, while reacting to the gruesome murder of Miss. Ogege, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, (CPS), Charles Aniagwu, had ordered an immediate crackdown on internet fraudsters across the state with high hopes assurances saying "I can assure Deltans and Nigerians that justice will be served on the perpetrators of this dastardly act."

Lamenting what she described "as slow and unfair proceedings so far from the court handling the matter", through a letter entitled "An Open Letter To The Governor Of Delta State From The Mother Of Late Miss. Elozino Ogege", addressed to governor Okowa, personally signed by Mrs. Elizabeth Ogege, mother of slain Miss Elozino Ogege, and obtained by SaharaReporters, appealed to the governor to find time and pay a condolence visit to the bereaved family to feel their pulse.

The widowed mother who further lamented after over five months of the murdered of her daughter, nothing has been heard from the governor, not even a visit while the hope of the common man has been moving in a slow pace thereby making the wounds difficult to heal faster.

"As one of the most loyal and faithful mothers who has nothing but the utmost respect for your person and your office, I am constrained to write you this open letter.

"This is because there are a number of issues that I believe is important for you to clarify and utmostly attend to bothering the murder and slaughtering of my daughter, your daughter and a potential First Class student of the Delta State owned University (DELSU),  Abraka. I say this because some of the happenings of late are at best contradictory to your honest promise on air after my daughter's slaughtering in the hand of the men of the underworld.

"This is especially so given the fact that human lives are at stake and the very existence of our state is under threat in the hands of ritualists who will definitely come back on rampage soon if Elozino's case is continued to be treated with kid glove.

"Like much as the family expected that after the untimely death of one of Delta's future bright genius, our Father the State Governor at least should have met with the widowed mother and family in person to have a word of condolence with us reiterating the state's commitment in seeking justice for one of her untimely murdered daughter.

"But till date even after the busy schedules of the campaign/election period, nothing of such has happened coupled with what we believe as slow and unfair proceedings so far from the court handling the matter has necessitated my decision to write you this open letter summarily seeking for your audience within the nearest possible time before the current situation gets out of hand.", Mrs. Ogege lamented.

Delta state police command after the arrest of the five suspects who murdered the first class 300 level student of Mass Communication, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Miss. Elozino Ogege, had on Monday, December 17, 2018 arraigned the suspects before a Magistrate court sitting in Asaba, the Delta state capital.

The suspects were arraigned on eight count charge before Chief Magistrate, Okonkwo Helen, according to charge no. CMA/509C/2018.
