Stanley Uzochukwu, a Christian Igbo man from South-East Nigeria, on Tuesday in Suleja, Niger state, hosted about 3000 Moslems to Iftar dinner in a bid to foster national unity.

Iftar, is the breaking of fast at sunset by Moslems. And the interesting part of the gesture was how the dinner welcomed just everybody within reach, including indigent people.

Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), dominated the dinner to break the Ramadan fast of the day.

"Dr. Uzochukwu who strongly believes in ‘One Nigeria' identified with the Muslim faithful in the Stanel owned Chicken Republic wing of the Stanel Group facility in Suleja, Niger State", Shehu Shewei, his media Consultant said.

"The Philanthropist had fruitful deliberations with the revered clerics on how to build bridges and interface cross-culturally in the interest of national unity.

"He also charged Moslems generally to use the lessons/teachings of the Ramadan for peaceful coexistence and the development of the country", Shewei stated.

The Chief Imam of Suleja Central Mosque commended the gesture of Uzochukwu, stressing that "Nigeria will be better off with people like Dr. Uzochukwu".
