Buhari Re-appoints Idris As Accountant General Of The Federation

President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the reappointment of Mr. Ahmed Idris, as the Accountant General of the Federation.

The appointment of Idris as the AGF is coming three weeks after the inauguration of President Buhari as the President for second term.

The reappointment of Idris was communicated by the Mrs. Wunmi Ogunmosunle, Director, Communications, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHoSCF), on Wednesday.

“The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Idris for the second and final term of four years as Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, in accordance with Section 171 of the 199 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended),” she said.

According to Ogunmosunle, the appointment of Idris would take effect from June 25, 2019.

President Buhari first appointed Idris, who had served as the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) headquarters, Abuja, in June 2015.

Idris has also served as the Director of Finance and Account at the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
